GENERAL INFORMATION

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ITTF?
The ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) is the World Table Tennis Federation, which determines the rules and regulations of table tennis sports and equipment – like the FIFA for football for instance. An ITTF approved rubber complies with the ITTF regulations and can be used during table tennis tournaments, in any league match. ITTF approval = quality seal.

SPEED – SPIN – CONTROL – LEVEL
The values speed, spin and control determine the basic playing characteristics of table tennis equipment. Additionally, we have categorized our bats into playing levels from 1 up to 10 and given to each category with comparable bats its own series name. This will facilitate your choice.
Bats with higher speed and spin values are usually not very easy to control. A bat with higher control values is easy to master but at the same time it is also slower and it provides eventually lower spin values as well. For beginners and hobby players we recommend using material that is easy to play. As your performance gets better and better, your expectations in terms of spin and speed will also increase and you will enjoy playing with a bat model that would have been too hard to master at the beginning.
The next TIBHAR Level Series accompany you on this path and offer you the appropriate bat for each step of your development until the Master series will not satisfy you anymore and you will be willing to compose your own bat adapted to your specific playing style.
Welcome into the fascinating world of the fastest ball sports!

EQUIPMENT INFORMATION
A table tennis bat consists of one blade and two rubbers (one on each side). Table tennis bats may look similar at first glance, but are actually very different. Our aim is to help you make the right choice.
The right bat for you is the one that suits your skills and supports you in your goals. A skilled player has just as little fun with the ROOKIE model as a beginner with a professional racket with which he cannot get the ball to the other side.
THE BLADE
A table tennis blade consists of a bat-shaped blade face and two handle shells. The blade face is composed of several thin wood layers, pressed together like chipboard. Principally blades made from harder wood essences are faster than blades made from softer wood essences, which are slower and more defensive, but easier to control.
THE RUBBERS
Table tennis rubbers always (with very few exceptions) consist of the so-called top rubber and a sponge onto which the top rubber is glued. Simply put, the top rubber determines the spin (how much rotation you can give to the ball) and the sponge determines the speed. The thicker the sponge, the faster the rubber. Rubbers with a 1.5 mm sponge are easier to control than 1.8 or 2.0 mm. The basic rule is 1.5 mm for controlled play, 1.8 mm for variable play and 2.0 mm for fast play.
